The 2008 GT500 balancer is of an improved design, nearly half the weight of the 07 balancer.

The 2007 GT500 uses a very heavy 26lb balancer, which results in a lot of stress on the crank snout. It is recommended to upgrade to the 2008 part when installing an aftermarket supercharger or raising boost on the stock supercharger.
