NOTES: 1 Clutches have NO warranty! 2 All clutch discs have 1.0625"-10 spline hub. 3 Fits all 1986-01 Mustang GT, 1993-98 Cobra with T-5 or T45 Transmissions. 2001-04 Mustang GT with 3650 transmission and 1999-03 Cobra uses an 11" clutch. OK to mix and match Ford Racing clutch discs and pressure plates but do NOT install a FRPP pressure plate with a stock disc or vice-versa as disengagement problems may occur. Installation of 10.5" clutch assemblies on 1979-85 vehicles equipped with 10" clutch requires new flywheel (see page 116). Ford Racing kit M-6397-A302. 2 4.6L engines may have 6 or 8 bolts to attach to the crankshaft. Check the engine code before ordering. Romeo built engines have 6 bolts and Windsor built engines have 8 bolts. All Cobra engines have 8 bolts. The 8th character in the VIN is (X) for Windsor engine plant or (W) for Romeo engine plant. 3 Has bolt-on counterweight 4" long for A302, 7.2" long for C302.

METCO 1979-2004 Mustang - Driveshaft Safety Loop
METCO 1979-2004 Mustang, Cobra
Metco's one-piece driveshaft safety loop is custom-designed to fit the floor pan of the 1979-2004 Mustang and Mustang Cobra. The ring is made from seamless DOM steel in an oversize dimension to accommodate lowered vehicles and aftermarket driveshafts. The flanges are laser-cut from heavy-duty steel and the assembly is precision-welded in a fixture. The finished loop is powdercoated black and packaged with installation instructions and Grade 8 hardware.
