1994-1995 Mustang GT/Cobra

The fourth generation Mustang GT and Mustang Cobra were an instant hit. Ford took the highly popular fox body (third generation) platform and modified it, heavily, to come up with this new design – a fact that earned the generation the nickname “Fox-4”. The SN-95 design came after major invest, research, time, and development from the experts at Ford. Upgrades were made to the suspension components, driveshaft, brakes, and engine configuration. The car also got a new exterior look and the interior was redesigned.

When the fourth generation Mustang landed, the 5.0L Windsor V8 stormed back into the competition. While only a few minor adjustments were made, the engine was now pumping out 215 horsepower and 285 ft. lbs of torque. This new designed inspired a massive increase in aftermarket parts manufacturers and resellers. Even to this day, many of the parts made for this model are still in production.

1994 Mustang GT & Cobra

The 1994 models marked the beginning of the highly anticipated fourth generation Ford Mustang makeover. Mustangs in this year had the most power (of their time of course) and had a very popular body style. The Ford Mustang GT finally got its grille back after a 16 year hiatus. All of the Cobra convertibles in this year were Indy 500 Pace Car special edition vehicles. The Cobra’s spoiler (all body styles) was different that other models, and had a built in LED third brake light.

1995 Mustangs were pretty much the same as the 1994 models, but people often remember this year as the last year of the Windsor 5.0L V8. The Cobra and the GT had no notable changes until 1996 when they received a 4.6L overhead cam engine.

BMR Fabrication 1979-1998 Mustang Lower Control Arms w/poly bushings

Stock control arms are marginal at best. Bushing deflection combined with control arm flex creates erratic handling and inconsistent rear end stability when subjected to the added loads of performance driving. BMR control arms are built using 1-5/8" x .120" DOM tubing and utilize 1/4" thick mounting plates for a bulletproof combination. Upper control arms are available in either fixed or adjustable versions. Adjustable uppers allow "on-car" adjustability by simply loosening the jamnuts and turning the adjuster. This allows you to adjust your pinion angle without unbolting the control arm, a convenience not offered by most other companies. These adjusters are by far the strongest in the industry. Made from 1-1/8" CNC machined steel and then zinc plated for corrosion resistance, they truly are overkill! Both upper and lowers are available with either polyurethane bushings or Teflon lined spherical bearings. With our variety of choices, we have control arms that are equally at home on the street, drag strip or road coarse. Available in Black Hammertone or red powdercoat.
